Here a child was punished so badly for not completing his homework in school that his life is on the verge of being ruined.
‘If you don’t do your math homework, you will get slapped’
This incident happened with a boy named Liu of Yifu Primary School of Yunnan province. The child’s mother alleges that the teacher slapped her son so hard that the color of his cheeks has faded. The child had not completed his maths work, due to which the teacher made him stand in front of the class and slapped him three times on one cheek and once on the other. Three months after the incident, the color of that part of the boy’s cheek, where he was slapped, started turning white. Now his mother says that the teacher’s slap was the reason for a disease called vitiligo (white spots).
The school has not taken any action yet
The school has said that the child is suffering from vitiligo. However, even after three months of the incident, the school has no answer to the slapping issue. Since the mother has lodged a police report about the incident, the forensic report is being awaited before taking any action. The exact cause of this disease is not known but the stress factor cannot be ruled out. On the other hand, people on social media have called the teacher’s behavior towards the child wrong. Many users said that discipline does not mean slapping.
